Beignets

This evening I made Beignets for the family, I have been promising my Dad them for about a week, so he was quite excited. I was a little apprehensive about the dough, it was very wet and sticky which was not what I anticipated, it was also a little difficult to incorporate the shortening into everything. Other than that they went without a hitch, it was a lot of fun to do the frying as well as trying them out with all the toppings I could think of, although I was longing for nutella by the end of the evening!
